Michael ChuRESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

    Michael is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of California Irvine working under Professor Michelle Khine. He earned his BS from UC San Diego and MS BME from UC Irvine.

    Michael is actively focused on developing and implementing soft wearable sensors to facilitate noninvasive monitoring of physiologic vital signs. Part of his dissertation work included using soft strain sensors to measure respiration.

    Michael is a co-founder of Makani Science, and is looking forward to working with the company upon graduation.
