Mei completed her undergraduate studies at UC Irvine, with a major in biological science and a minor in business management. She currently is working towards her master’s degree at UCI in biotechnology management, which she plans to complete by the summer of 2019.

    Having taken several finance related courses as well as completed a summer internship with K5 Ventures/Tech Coast Angels, Mei discovered a passion for finance and investments. Her internship involved working closely with angel investors, which gave her the unique opportunity to participate in due diligence efforts for prospective investments, including reviewing and analyzing business plans, performing market and competitive analysis, and analyzing financial models. Mei’s passion is to better understand the inner workings of medical device start-ups through her role as a Assistant Project Manager.

    Mei comes from a diverse background, having lived in Myanmar (Burma), Taiwan, and the US. She is fluent in Burmese, Mandarin, and English.
